Some more information on the ingredients used:
Olive Oil: contains approximately 75% oleic acid glycerides. Traditionally applied to dry skin as a moisturizer.
Beeswax: is inert with high plasticity and is water insoluble. Traditionally added to salves to solidify the oil base.
Benzoin Resin: Traditionally used for its antifungal properties and was believed to accelerate wound healing.
Plantain Leaf: contains iridoids, aucubin, flavonoids, mucilage, and tannins. Traditionally leaves were placed on bites and stings of venomous insects and animals as an antidote.
Calendula: contains carotenoids and saponin. Traditionally added to salves for injuries, burns, and other skin wounds.
Charcoal: charcoal that has been treated with oxygen at very high temperatures to make it porous. Traditionally applied to skin to treat insect bites.
