Ketsuhime Designs

ANNOUNCEMENT: Ketsuhime Designs will be on vacation from June 19th until August 19th! We are welcoming a new baby into our fold and will be unable to fulfill orders or take customs during that time as we adjust. The last day to place purchases will be June 18th and the last day for custom orders will be June 12th. Thank you for your understanding and please reach out with any questions you may have.

Ketsuhime Designs started with a desire for me to more easily wear my favorite gemstones as necklace to work. I started practicing on my gems, then started wrapping for my fiancee and gifting them to friends. I would practice on my days I had off work, my trusty kitty Ketsueki beside me silently judging my sloppy work and trying to bat and eat the dangling strings. Three years later, I’m still making and creating wearable gemstone jewelry not just for myself, but for anyone to have. My shop name came from my beloved feline watcher, who is no longer with us. I like to think that she is still sitting next to me as I work and silently judging me – her successor certainly does!

Every gemstone I weave into a piece is handpicked by myself as if I were still choosing for my own personal use. I carefully select for color, inclusions, beauty, and shape; if it is not good enough to sit in my personal collection, then it isn’t good enough to be listed in my shop! I try to limit man-made or enhanced gemstones as much as possible, but every so often they do sneak into my hands and you will find those items noted in the product descriptions. I also use nylon cording and beeswax for/on my cording to stay as hypo-allergenic as possible and create jewelry that feels comfortable in bare skin.

My goal is to create beautiful jewelry and charms that not only get you compliments when you wear them, but also feel great to wear and give you a confidence and energy boost to your day. If you don’t see exactly what you want in my shop or it is out of stock, please send me a message or email to start a custom job for you.
